Small animals safety
The access shelves are part of the Terramaxx system. Mounted in culverts, they enable safe passage to the other side of the road for small animals, amphibians, newts and toads. The system allows for adaptation to newly built or existing road culverts.

In order for the shelves to be fully used by small animals, they should be installed together with Terramaxx amphibian fencing, which guarantee safe redirection of 100% of animals.
The system was developed with the active participation of ecologists who, since years, have been studying mortality on roads and in their surroundings.
